Stonehenge Roofing Products proudly warrants to you, the original purchaser of our Stone-coated Steel Roofing Panels, that our panels will remain WEATHERPROOF, WILL NOT BURN, WILL WITHSTAND HAILSTONES up to 2 ½ inches in diameter, WILL WITHSTAND WIND SPEEDS up to 120 m.p.h., as well as WARRANT THE SURFACE COATING OF THE PANELS from manufacturing defects, as long as you own your home. Definitions of Statements
A) Weatherproof- Will not allow the passage of water due to deterioration.
B) Will Not Burn- The steel sub straight of the panel will not burn.
C) Withstand Hailstones- Will not be perforated by hailstones up to 2 ½ inches in diameter at or near the point of impact.
D) Wind Speeds- Will remain intact up to 120 m.p.h. wind speeds or less taking into account that the roof has been installed in compliance with Stonehenge Roofing Products approved installation details.
E) Surface Coating- Stonehenge Roofing Products warrants the surface coating of the panel if it deteriorates to the extent that the appearance of the roof is adversely affected. Taking into account all circumstances, Stonehenge Roofing Products will then, at its discretion, either repair or replace the panel(s) provided that the liability of Stonehenge Roofing Products, with respect to the surface coating, shall be limited to a total expenditure not to exceed the original cost of the particular panel or panels. Transfer of Warranty
A written notice of change of ownership of the said property in which the Stonehenge roof was installed must be sent by the subsequent owner, within 30 days from change of ownership, by registered mail to Stonehenge Roofing Products at its address set forth below. At the time the warranty is transferred it will become valid for 50 years from the date of the installation.
This Warranty is subject to the following conditions:
1. A written notice of defect must be sent by registered mail to Stonehenge Roofing Products at its address set forth below. The notice must contain the name and address of the owner of the claimed defective panel or panels and must describe the defect in detail.
2. Stonehenge Roofing Products shall not be liable for, and this Limited Warranty does not apply to, any damages to the panels or any other property because of any other reason other than the specific defects in materials or manufacturing workmanship defined in the limited warranty. Causes not covered in this warranty include: (1) damage resulting from defects, movement or subsidence in the structure on which the roof is installed; (2) abusive foot traffic resulting from a variance in the manufacturer’s instructions; (3) damage to the panels caused by any application of the cleaning solutions, paints, coatings, or modifications of any kind; (4) damage to the panels by misuse, neglect, or improper handling during or after installation; (5) damage caused by failure to follow the manufacturer’s installation instructions. A separate warranty covering the installation of panels may be made available by the installation contractor.
3. This warranty is the only warranty Stonehenge Roofing Products makes with respect to the Stonehenge roofing panels it sells. Dealers and installers of Stonehenge Roofing Products are not authorized to extend of modify the terms of this warranty in any way.
4. Stonehenge Roofing Products shall have no liability for any consequential, incidental, indirect, or special damage or loss of any kind whatsoever (including but not limited to damage caused by leaks). Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
5. There shall be no implied warranties of the merchantability or fitness for any particular purpose beyond the term of this warranty or beyond the term prescribed by the laws of the state in which the panels are sold if that term is shorter than the term of this warranty. Some states do not allow exclusions and limitations of implied warranties, so the above limitations may not apply to you.
6. No warranty shall apply to Stonehenge roofing panel modified, altered, or changed in design or function after it has left the factory, except when the alteration is required by the manufacturer’s installation instructions.
7. The replacement of any Stonehenge roofing panel by Stonehenge Roofing Products shall not extend the terms of this warranty except as require by law.
8. This warranty gives the original purchaser of Stonehenge roofing panels specific legal rights and you may also have other rights under state or federal law.
9. If any provision of this limited warranty is held by a court or competent jurisdiction to be invalid, void, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall nevertheless continue in full force without being impaired or invalidated in any way.
